Maya’s French-Themed Birthday Bash at Willow Creek Mansion- Broken Arrow, OK

As I arrived at Maya's 3rd birthday party, I was immediately transported into a whimsical wonderland of French-themed charm. The venue was decorated with delicate pastel hues, vintage furniture, and an abundance of gorgeous balloon bouquets that created a magical atmosphere. And then there was the flower shop, a charming touch that added a touch of elegance to the festivities.

As I wandered through the party, I couldn't help but be in awe of the sheer joy and wonder that filled the air. The laughter of children painting at the art easels, the delighted expressions as they received their stuffed animal souvenirs, and the creative and super cute creations of the balloon artist all added to the charm of the day. Each guest was invited to take a flower flowers home, a small token of appreciation for sharing in Maya's special day.

Maya's parents beamed with pride and happiness, their faces radiant with the joy of seeing their little girl surrounded by so much love and laughter. It was a day that will live on in their memories forever, and I was honored to be able to preserve those precious moments for them through my photography for a second year in a row (*inserts heart emoji)

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce annual Gala at River Spirit Casino, Tulsa -OK

Event photography excellence

As I stood behind the lens at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce gala, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and excitement. The room was filled with energy and enthusiasm, as entrepreneurs from all walks of life came together to celebrate their achievements and the successes of the Hispanic business community here in Tulsa.

The atmosphere was electric, with guests mingling and networking, sharing stories of triumph and resilience. It was a night filled with laughter, smiles, and the sound of clinking glasses. As I moved through the crowd, capturing candid moments and heartfelt conversations, I felt like a documentarian, capturing the essence of a community coming together in solidarity.

And then came the awards ceremony, a moment of recognition and celebration for those who had truly excelled in their entrepreneurial endeavors. The speeches were moving and empowering, filled with tales of hard work, perseverance, and the power of the human spirit. As I snapped photos of the winners standing proudly on stage, I couldn't help but be inspired by their stories of determination and success.

And as the night came to a close, with applause ringing through the room, I felt a deep sense of honor and privilege to have been a part of such a momentous occasion. As an immigrant and entrepreneur myself, I knew the importance of documenting these moments, of preserving the memories of a community coming together to lift each other up and celebrate their achievements.

So as I pack up my camera gear and reflect on the night's events, I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of something so special. As an event photographer, I am not just a creator of images, but a storyteller, a documentarian capturing moments of triumph and celebration. And at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce gala, I was honored to have been given the chance to tell the story of a community united in success and solidarity.

3 Alternatives to Traditional Wedding Venues in Oklahoma

3 budget friendly (but gorgeous) options if you are planning a micro wedding/elopement in Oklahoma.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the constantly changing world of trends and expectations? It seems like every day there's a new must-follow trend to keep up with, especially when it comes to planning a wedding. But what if I told you that you could create a beautiful and intimate wedding without breaking the bank or conforming to every trend out there?

Imagine a wedding day filled with love, laughter, and sweet moments shared with only your closest family and friends. If this resonates, a micro wedding may be the perfect answer for you.

So, if you're feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to spend a fortune on your wedding day, consider these lower cost wedding venues in Oklahoma. Trust me, you can still create a beautiful and unforgettable setting for your special day without breaking the bank because I’ve selected these venues not just for cost but also for their aesthetic. A huge plus? They are all oh-so-different from each other! So whether you are a modern bride, a classic bride or an always-striving-to-set-yourself-apart bride, there’s an option for you!

  1. The Canopy - downtown Tulsa, OK.

Have you ever experienced the feeling of stepping into a hidden urban oasis, a place where industrial vibes meet lush greenery and elegant sophistication? The Canopy in downtown Tulsa is exactly that – a premier event venue that exudes intimacy, whimsy, and a touch of moody elegance. As a photographer, I am constantly drawn to unique locations that offer a perfect blend of atmosphere and visual appeal, I want the absolute best for my clients. The Canopy has quickly become one of my favorite venues to shoot at, and for good reason. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by a stunning display of orb pendants hanging from tall ceilings, casting a soft glow over the space. It's as if you've been transported to a magical, otherworldly realm. Tip for decoration: Add a Moroccan rug at the altar to elevate the entire space! it will transport you to an exotic destination wedding w/o the expense.

2.The Ever-Moore Estate - Paul’s Valley, OK.

Are you a lover of history and architecture? If so, then let me introduce you to The Ever-Moore Estate, a historical home located just 57 miles south of Oklahoma City.
Picture this: a stunning Mission style estate, built in the 1920s, with exquisite details. As you step inside, you are greeted by 22’ high arched windows adorned with multicolored stained glass insets, original drapery, and a fabulous carved stone fireplace that exudes warmth and charm. The solid oak front door beckons you to explore further, leading you to a cherry wood spiral staircase that seems to invite you to climb and discover the intricate beauty hidden within.

And the best part? This venue is permanently decorated, so you don't have to worry about additional costs or the hassle of bringing in extra decor. Shelley, the lovely owner, is a dream to work with and is always willing to accommodate any special requests or edits to the decor. Plus, the option for overnight accommodations for the couple & their on-site hair stylist Jayda add an extra layer of convenience!

3. First North Co - Bixby, OK

1st North Co is not only a sought-after photography studio, but also a hidden gem as a micro wedding and elopement venue. The moment you step foot into this modern and chic space, you are greeted by an abundance of natural light that floods the room, creating a dreamy atmosphere that is perfect for your special day. The clean lines and minimalist aesthetic of the venue serve as a blank canvas, allowing you to bring your own personal touch and style to the space. Chelsea, the owner of 1st North Co, is a true professional who goes above and beyond to ensure you have an exceptional experience.

Flower decor not included with venue rental, this photo was from a previous event. Picture not taken by me.

Style Guide To Slay Your Engagement Session

A complete guide on what to expect and how to prepare for your engagement session.

Augusta & Jacob, 2024. An at-home engagement session can add a lot of extra sentimental value to your engagement session, so don’t forget to consider this option.

Welcome friend! & congratulations!

This guide will be your one-stop shop to prepare for your engagement photoshoot.

Showing up at the same location at an agreed upon time is just not enough to create photos that you are going to swoon over! And I want you swooooooning!

So, grab your boo, get comfy and take 10 minutes to intentionally walk through this guide together! I promise you, it will be every bit worthy.

START WITH A VISION

What would you do together on a date night, if I wasnt around? Where are your favorite places to go?

Travis and Julia’s museum-date session.

We could absolutely go to the nearest “pretty location” and take a bunch of pretty photos at sunset with you looking like models. And hey! - if thats your vibe, lets do it, but if that doesnt represent who you are, or your story, lets go deeper.

I want to take an intentional and collaborative aproach to these photos. From the location, to what you wear, themes & beyond. The more vision and ideas you give me, the better. If you have a go-to date night spot or activity you love to do together, do tell me! & even if you dont think your idea is “photo-worthy” ask me first! What makes photos meaningful is not just the beauty, it’s the story they tell.

WHAT TO WEAR & PICKING YOUR OUTFIT

What you wear can make or break your photos. Trust and believe that.

Take into account the location you are shooting at AND the season you are shooting in. The location always has it’s own vibe, colors, textures and theme. Think about your location as a painting that is already painted, and now we have to paint YOU into the picture.

What will look best against the backdrop? What makes most sense in that scene?

Picking your colors

Natural Setting:

Garret & Acacia really understood the assignment. They borrowed inspiration for their color palette from the season they were in and completely nailed their fall session.

You want to stand out from your surroundings but still look like you belong and fit there.

When shooting outdoors I always recommend earthy and neutral tones because they fit into the natural/earthy surroundings we are shooting in.

However, if you are more of a creative couple who use fashion as a form of expression and you dont think neutrals really represent you then I would suggest work with a stylist (if you dont know any just let me know) because including bold choices, colors and silhouettes for an outdoor session does require some skill and a trained eye.

That being said, if you want to be safe (but cute as hell, always) remember the “3 color rule” which means that when putting an outfit together, you should ideally limit yourself to using only 3 main colors to achieve a balanced and cohesive look, typically consisting of a dominant color, a secondary color and an accent color to add a pop of interest (accent colors dont necesarily have to be on your outfit but it could also be a pop of color that is part of the location, maybe a colorful rose bush or a sunflower field…)

David + Derek are a great example of using the location for a pop of color. Here they went for blue as their main color, grey was their secondary color and the greens from the background added a pop of color.

Moody Urban

I give a triple chef’s kiss to Sambo & Ashleigh’s all-black formal look for their engagement session in downtown Tulsa.

When shooting in the city black is just PERFECT. A black wardrobe can add sophistication, allure and/or drama.

Complimentary materials to achieve a chic and cool aesthetic regardless of your style are leather, satin, or suede. Complimentary colors to include are BROWNS, deep, rich burgundy or blue always photograph well, mauve tones do too and all denim looks are pretty timeless. You can dress up or down using these colors.

Not one couple is the same & you are probably concerned by these rules but trust me, these colors can be applied to any and every style. So wether you are boujee, country or just laid back we can fit this color palette into your photoshoot’s wardrobe.

Do you still have questions? No worries, Im always a phone call or text away! So whether you are shopping and need a final opinion or you are browsinig in your own closet, Im here to help.

No color? No problem! Kay Lin picked a black and grey look that though was muted in color it managed to have personality by mixing a dainty satin dress with a structured blazer and chunky Doc Martens, achieving a balanced look.

MAKE SURE YOUR OUTFITS…

… Have movement!

Make sure you can move in your outfit easily, and its a huge added bonus if the piece itself moves as well.Try: sheer, bouncy, flowy, textured, soft fabrics. Avoid: business, starchy, stiff.

… Are timeless (ish)

Try to wear something you wont be embarrased to see yourself in 10 years. Use what I call “The 5 and 5 rule” 5 years ago you could of worn it and in 5 years you could still wear it!

Or just throw away all the rules and DO YOU! I love fashion myself and I understand a big part of why its so much fun is experimenting with different vibes and silhouettes and maybe in 10 years it would be fun and endearing to see yourself in this time.

…Feel like you

Make sure it has that trademark, YOU stamp on it!

… Remember to avoid

Clothes that make you feel constricted, uncomfortable, itchy and/or exposed (ladies) Make sure you love your outfit from every angle and you feel like a million bucks!

FAQs:

  • What if our shoot gets bad weather?

I always want you to be exited about your weather conditions, so I will keep in touch with clients in the days preceding our shoot if the weather looks ugly. Anything from cloudy to sunny is not something I reschedule for but intense rain, or unsafe weather is something Im happy to reschedule with no extra fees.

  • What about my dude? anything special he should do?

Grooms use the same guidelines as the girls but with guy clothes. That being said, please make sure you are both fully groomed. This means fresh hair cuts, good beards if you have beards or a fresh shave if you don’t. Ironed clothes are a must. If you are gonna do your nails that’s great, if you are not that’s fine too, just try not to have chipped nails because they do look ugly. I wont groom anyone in Photoshop.

  • What if you still don’t know what to wear?

Let me know that. I have so many ideas so don’t worry. Try to follow the guidelines in this guide, as well as Pinterest boards with inspo. Message me photos, and bring options to your shoot! We will make sure you look amazing!

  • Should I hire HMU?

    YES, YES, ABSOLUTELY YES.

And that is not a dig to your makeup and hair skills girl (and if you are amazing at hmu, please ignore this part, this message is for the average person) remember professionals do this for a living so that option is always going to look better and elevate your look. The hair and makeup you use to go to work or grab coffee with friends may not translate in your photos, some makeup looks are great in person yet the camera completely washes it off. Professional makeup artists know how to do makeup for photos, just make sure to show them the look you are going for.

A bonus to hiring a professional HMU is that if you ever wanted to experiment with makeup and you have so many looks saved on your phone that you wish you could make happen but when you try, it never looks like the picture?(sounds familiar? it does me) Well this is the perfect opportunity to TREAT YO SELF!

OK BESTIES, I think I’ve said enough, but before I go let’s go over your final checklist:

  1. Let’s nail down your location.

  2. I want to hear your vision!

  3. Let’s finalize your outfit.

I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU ON YOUR SESSION DATE! LETS GO!

Baby Mia’s Newborn Lifestyle Session

Taylor’s 18th Birthday @ PostOak Lodge

I had the privilege of capturing this fabulous soiree at PostOak Lodge & Retreat here in Tulsa. As I arrived at the venue, I was immediately enchanted by the stunning decorations. The venue was filled with lots of beautiful pink decor, sparkle and all things glamorous, the table was adorned with delicate pink decorations, sparkling candles casting a warm glow over the scene. Taylor's best friends and family gathered together for a festive evening, complete with a delicious dinner and plenty of photo opportunities. The sounds of laughter and chatter filled the room, mingling with the delicious aroma of the feast that had been prepared. It was a festive and sweet soiree, a gathering of Taylor's closest friends and family to celebrate her birthday.

Of course, no photo shoot is without its challenges. Managing a large group of people, coordinating poses, and adjusting lighting can be tricky, but with a little patience and creativity, we were able to overcome any obstacles that came our way.
At the end of the evening, as I packed up my gear and said goodbye to the group, I felt a sense of fulfillment and gratitude. It was a pleasure to be able to capture such a beautiful and feminine event, and I hope that the photos will serve as a lasting reminder of the love and joy shared on that special night. We are only 18 once!

Coffee & morning ministry @ Collaborative Coffee, Tulsa, OK - An event photography blog

Imagine a scene where friends come together, not just for small talk, but for deep conversations and meaningful connections. Imagine a gathering where laughter fills the air, where worship brings solace and inspiration to the soul, and where important matters are discussed with passion and sincerity. Now imagine all of this happening over tasty treats and strong coffee, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that brings everyone closer together, well this was exactly what this event organized by B McCoy Ministries was all about.

Picture a talented singer adding a touch of magic to the gathering, their voice soaring through the room and lifting spirits high. Imagine the way their music resonates with the hearts of those present, stirring up emotions and inspiring deep reflection. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of coming together as a Christian community, of sharing in each other's joys and sorrows, and of supporting one another through our spiritual journey.

As a photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing these important moments with my camera - their smiles, their tears, their laughter, and their binding love for Jesus, which filled the room. Being able to freeze these moments in time, to immortalize the memories of their gathering, is an honor to me.

So next time you are at an important gathering remember to savor the moments, to cherish the connections, and to capture the memories through photos that will last a lifetime. Because in the end, it's not just about the tasty treats and strong coffee, but about the moments shared, the bonds formed, and the love that unites us all.

Maya’s 2nd Birthday Party “To The Moon & Back” at Laurannae Social

Event photography blog

Imagine a gathering filled with laughter, joy, and the purest form of love. That was exactly what Mayas 2nd birthday party was all about. The air was buzzing with excitement as friends and family gathered to celebrate this special milestone. As a photographer, it was my goal to capture every precious moment, every smile, and every playful interaction.

The party was a sea of colorful decorations, delicious treats, and little ones running around with boundless energy. It was a scene straight out of a storybook, where time seemed to stand still in the midst of all the fun and chaos. As I moved through the crowd, I couldn't help but be in awe of the genuine happiness that radiated from each person's face.

I moved around the party, snapping photos of Maya blowing out her birthday candles, opening presents, and sharing hugs with her friends, I faced the challenge of capturing each moment before it disappeared. The children were full of energy, and the scene was constantly changing as they ran around and played games, this is what makes event photography FUN.

One of the things I love most about capturing moments like these is the opportunity to freeze time and preserve memories that will last a lifetime. The candid shots of children giggling, playing, and getting lost in their own little worlds are what make my heart sing. As I looked through the photos from the day, I knew that I had successfully captured the essence of Maya's special day in a way that would be cherished for generations to come.

How to photograph the perfect warm & moody engagement/couple’s session, ft. Lynn & Mike

Romantic & Moody engagement session @ Pose Studio in Owasso, OK

Have you ever looked at a photo and felt a sense of nostalgia or romance? Maybe you wondered how to achieve that same moody look in your own pictures. It's all about setting the right mood and capturing intimate moments.

The stormy weather created a cozy atmosphere for an intimate engagement session in the studio. The soft lighting and rich shadows added a touch of drama to the photos. The couple's perfect styling complemented the mood perfectly, creating a THE feel. It's amazing how a stormy day can bring out the most beautiful emotions in a photo shoot.

One key tip is to play with lighting. Soft, diffused light can create a romantic atmosphere, while harsh light can bring drama to your photos. The studio I used for these clients has the perfect depth to shoot on a dark and moody style. I strategically posed my couple in front of the light source and the depth of the space created rich, beautiful shadows.

Besides diffused, soft light, perhaps the other most important thing to consider when you are trying to achieve a dark and moody feel is styling. Think rich browns, greys, deep greens, blacks & overall neutral tones for the most part can really make the expressions the stars of the photoshoot. The more color you bring to wardrobe the less mood it will have, which can be great for other types of photography but if moody is what you are trying to do, then softer, darker tones are necessary.

Composition also plays a big role in creating a romantic and moody feel. Think about framing your subject in a way that draws the viewer in and evokes emotion, Lynn & Mike were quite gentle, sweet & comfortable with showing affection in front of me, I think this natural dynamic is key when creating imagery that evokes romance and connection in a compelling way. This is gonna be something you might want to discuss with your couple ahead of time, during the prep process. Also, consider using techniques like leading lines or the rule of thirds to create a more dynamic and engaging image.

Another important aspect is the editing process. Using editing tools like Lightroom or Photoshop, you can adjust the colors, contrast, and tones of your photos to enhance the mood. Play around with settings like exposure, saturation, and shadows to achieve that desired nostalgic look. I always try to stay right in the middle of cool and warm tones, I achieved it in this set, but I always consider what looks best for the session, some sessions look better edited with warm tones and other look best in cool tones, this is where your taste comes into play.

And lastly, don't be afraid to experiment and trust your instincts. Photography is an art form, and there are no strict rules when it comes to capturing emotions and moods. Trust your vision and intuition to create images that resonate with you and others. TAKE YOUR TIME, dont rush, correct, retake the shot, if you are not happy with what you are looking at on the viewfinder stop, take a deep breath and figure out what is missing; theres no shame on pulling your inspo boards from your phone and reset.

By following these tips and embracing the process, you can achieve that nostalgic look you've been dreaming of. Remember, photography is all about capturing emotions and telling stories – so don't be afraid to get creative and let your unique perspective shine through. Happy shooting!

Special thanks to my gorgeous clients Lynn & Mike

Why take maternity photos? Feat. the Mendoza’s session at First North Co studio- Bixby, OK

The why behind it all + what to expect

If you landed here, it’s because you are expecting so CONGRATULATIONS MAMA! :) So happy for you! And since you’re here I’m guessing you’re also weighing the pros and cons of investing in a photography session.

So I’m going to put my photographer hat down for a minute and talk to you as a mother and as a friend: It seems unlikely now but I promise there will be a day where this incredible, emotional, intense ride that is this pregnancy will be but a distant memory (insert sad emoji) … Years from now you will want to remember what it was like expecting your little baby! You will look at these images and a flood of emotions and memories will come to you, that is a priceless experience, truly. Regardless of whether or not you decide to grow your family, each baby and each pregnancy brings its own magic, and once it’s gone, its gone forever.

Another important reason is to capture the love you and your spouse share before baby arrives, remember: It will never be just the two of you again, so why not freeze it in time? your love story is what brought you both here.

Last but not least, as a mom of an 8 year old boy I can assure you: he/she will want to know what it was like carrying him/her! It is so fun and sweet to see their reactions to seeing their mommy with their big belly and a happy, smiling daddy next to her. I love this so much!

Q&A:

  • When is the best time to get maternity photos done? between 32–34 weeks.

  • What should I wear? Some women want to do jeans and a crop top/sports bra, others prefer dresses, if you can’t decide just bring both! we will have time to do an outfit change. I always include a free consultation prior to your session where we talk wardrobe and I always base it on your personality and how you like to present yourself. I would never suggest you wear something that you dont like or dont feel comfortable in.

  • How long does the session last? 1 hour or less. If it sounds like a short amount of time believe me! it is enough, its only so long before you get bored of holding your belly in 10 different ways lol

  • Can I bring my dog/cat? OMG YEEEEESSSS!!!! if we are doing the session at a studio we would have to check with the studio’s rules regarding pets.

  • How much does it cost? $280 at studio, $200 if it’s at your home or a public space.

  • How many images do I get? 25 final images. I’m usually right at 25 photos in a 1 hour session but if there are any other beautiful images worth sharing, I will include them in your gallery and you may buy them at an additional charge of $10 p/ image. This is an optional step.

  • When do i get my images back? 3-7 days.

Special thanks to my sweet, gorgeous clients: Eddie & Christina Mendoza

Studio space: First North Co. Bixby, OK.

Connection > Perfection | A guide on how to make your family session look and feel natural

Outdoor Family Photography session

The most important objective for me as a family photographer is to provide a visual representation of the day-to-day, loving moments that occur at home. Moments we wish we had a picture of to look at when we reminisce about our children. Like any other mom, I often find myself wishing I had a live-in photographer documenting all the funny and sweet moments we experience as a family on a daily basis, and I hear from my clients that’s exactly what they want from their session: photos that capture the infinite love they feel for their children, their dynamic and their little personalities.

So then, why do family photoshoots leave you stressed out, drained and worried you didn’t get the shots you wanted? (never mind your children are all grounded by the end of it and/or even crying) Let’s dive into some things you can do (and avoid) to leave your session feeling happy, grateful and excited about seeing the final gallery.

1) Failing to prepare is preparing to fail: Don’t leave things for the last minute (seriously) is as simple and as hard as that. If you leave things for the last minute, it will show.

  • Have everyone’s outfits ready a week in advance (with layers/variations in case weather is a little cooler or a little hotter than expected, or if it rains) (Kids wont act cute if they are cold and you wont be happy if you have to now wear a sweater that doesn’t match your outfit, so prepare all the layers for the outfits to be cute no matter the weather)

  • Groom yourselves. Make sure husband/kids have fresh haircuts. Lashes, nails should be done no later than the day before of the photoshoot. Make sure all outfits are wrinkle free.

  • If you are using props make sure you have them ready to go no later than the day before of the shoot (this is why outfits should be taken care of a week in advance, so the week-of can be for props and grooming)

  • If you have small children make sure they are napped and fed before the session or they will be cranky and there is nothing the photographer can do to fix this. Make sure they use the bathroom before you leave if the photoshoot is outdoors with no bathroom on site.

  • Bring a little treat/toy to pop out when kids start getting bored and antsy. Make sure the kids dont know about it so they can truly get happy. This is a life saver!

  • Do not overexert yourself and your family the day before the photoshoot so you are not tired or groggy the day of.

2) Mindset is everything: If you do everything, I mentioned above then you can get in the right mindset the day of because all details are taken care of. Your #1 priority during your session is to be HAPPY. That’s right, you read that correctly: no matter what the kids are doing your job is to look happy and keep a positive and patient attitude throughout the photoshoot. Kids are fighting? Redirect their attention with positive affirmations like “who wants ice cream after the shoot?” “who’s going to get the most Chuck E Cheese games for being so good?” If baby is fussing just cuddle him/her… If your kids are acting out, you getting upset is just going to worsen the situation for everybody, so please, the day of, your #1 top priority is to just be HAPPY MOM.

3) Be yourself: Photography sessions can be a great opportunity to reconnect with your kids. Routines and work can sometimes put some distance between you and your spouse and even little ones so this is a great chance to have one-on-one uninterrupted, present connection with each one.

Last but not least: if this is all overwhelming to you, you have my permission to throw it all away and just show up and love on your family. I’ll get beautiful photos of your family loving on each other and at the end of the day that’s what its about.

Event photography excellence: Esther’s 90th Birthday Party

When I was hired to photograph Esther's 90th birthday, I expected to capture moments of a frail and weak individual. However, I was pleasantly surprised to meet a strong and lively woman who was enjoying every bit of her special day.

One of the highlights of the evening was when Esther took the microphone and went from table to table, sharing stories and memories with each guest. Her candid and humorous approach to the milestone of turning 90 was refreshing, as she bluntly expressed that getting old isn't fun.

The party was filled with guests, friends, and family members who joined in the celebration from near and far. It was heartwarming to witness the love and joy that surrounded Esther on her special day.

As a photographer, capturing candid moments like these is what I live for. The genuine emotions and interactions that unfold during events like Esther's birthday are what make each photo unique and special. I feel grateful to have been a part of capturing the spirit of such a remarkable woman on her 90th birthday.

What to bring to your next personal branding photography session

Are you looking to take your branding photoshoot to the next level? Well, let me tell you a little secret: props can make a tremendous difference and create stunning photos! Whether you're aiming for a modern headshot or want to enhance your brand through visuals, props are the perfect tool to make it happen.

Props play a crucial role in branding sessions as they help represent your personality, values, and the story behind your brand. They can transform an ordinary photoshoot into something extraordinary. Just imagine how a simple prop like a vintage camera, a bouquet of vibrant flowers, or even a stack of books can instantly elevate your photos!

When choosing props for your branding photoshoot, it's important to consider what message you want to convey and how you want your audience to perceive you. Are you a creative artist? A cup of paintbrushes or a sketchbook could be the perfect addition. If you run a fitness brand, incorporating exercise equipment or yoga mats can showcase your dedication to a healthy lifestyle. The possibilities are endless!

Here are some prop ideas to inspire you for your next photoshoot:

1. Personal items: Bring along items that hold sentimental value or reflect your hobbies and interests. This could be your favorite musical instrument, a cherished vintage item, or even your trusty laptop if you're a digital nomad.

2. Office supplies: If you have a home office or run a business, including props like notebooks, pens, or a beautiful desk setup can create a professional and elegant ambiance.

3. Textures and textiles: Incorporate visually appealing textures like a cozy blanket, a delicate lace fabric, or a rustic wooden surface. These elements can add depth and interest to your photos.

4. Seasonal props: Depending on the time of year, consider using props that reflect the season. For example, during autumn, include colorful leaves, pumpkins, or cozy scarves. In the winter, bring along a warm cup of hot cocoa and a knitted sweater.

5. Brand-specific items: If you already have branded merchandise, such as a branded mug, t-shirt, or even packaging materials, including them in your shoot can strengthen your brand identity.

Remember, the key to using props effectively is to ensure they align with your brand and story. They should complement your personality and resonate with your target audience. By incorporating props into your branding session, you can create visually appealing photos that not only capture attention but also tell a captivating story.

So, next time you plan a photoshoot, think about how props can enhance your brand and take your images to the next level. Let your creativity flow and have fun experimenting with different props that represent your unique brand. The results will amaze you, and your audience will be captivated by your stunning visuals!

Lifestyle family & newborn photoshoot with baby Claros

It all begins with an idea.

When it comes to capturing those precious and tender moments with your newborn baby, there's nothing quite like an intimate photography session surrounded by your immediate family. These sessions are all about capturing the love, joy, and peacefulness that fills your home during this special time.

One of the great things about this type of session is that it falls under the concept of lifestyle family photography. This means that instead of focusing solely on posed shots and props, I aim to capture the true essence of your family in a natural and unscripted way. It's all about showcasing the genuine connections and emotions that exist between family members.

Unlike a traditional newborn session at a studio, a lifestyle session takes place right in the comfort of your own home. This creates a relaxed and familiar environment for both you and your baby, allowing everyone to feel at ease. It also adds a personal touch as I can incorporate meaningful items or spaces within your home into the photos.

In addition to being convenient, an intimate newborn session also offers the opportunity to involve other family members. The presence of grandparents, siblings, or even furry family members can make the session even more special. It's a chance to capture the bond and love that already exists within your family unit.

So, if you're looking for a more natural and personal approach to newborn photography, this type of session is definitely worth considering.
